Let’s start on this day in 1974, when The Doobie Brothers released “Black Water.”

That also happened to be the same day that Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger was born, in Alberta, Canada.

On this day in 1990, German producer Frank Farian admits that Milli Vanilli (Robert Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan) didn’t actually sing on the album Girl You Know It’s True. A scandal ensues and the duo are stripped of the Best New Artist Grammy.

The “Rock Of Ages” episode of Married With Children aired on this day in 1992. Members of  The Doors, Paul Revere & the Raiders, Herman’s Hermits, Spencer Davis, and The Lovin’ Spoonful appeared on the show and sang with Al Bundy.

Carrie Underwood released her debut album, “Some Hearts,” on this day in 2005.

And it was on this day in 2007, that the first episode of Daryl Hall’s show Live From Daryl’s House aired on the web. The show featured Hall performing with special guests from his house in Millerton, New York. The series gained traction and was picked up by the Palladia network and is still airing today.
